State and Territorial Dental Public Health Activities
In 2001-2002, 39 states submitted 116 descriptions of successful dental public health practices to the ASTDD Best Practices Project. These practice submissions gave valuable field information to the ASTDD Best Practices Committee and guided the Committee to develop a process to identify best practice approaches for state and community oral health programs.
The practice submissions were also used to create a collection of descriptive summaries for Dental Public Health Activities to provide a resource on who is doing what and offer a technical cooperative network to contact individuals with expertise in implementing dental public health programs. Future state, territorial and community practice submissions will be added to the collection.
