ASTDD’s work is grounded in six principles that guide how ASTDD designs systems, makes decisions, and supports members—keeping transparency and trust at the center of our work.

Beginning in 2027, ASTDD will translate its Strategic Framework into annual work plans. These will define annual priorities, use SMART or SMARTIE goals and objectives, monitor progress, report results, and continuously refine implementation through 2030.

Each year, ASTDD develops an annual work plan that translates goals into a focused set of priorities, initiatives, and deliverables. Annual work plans are realistic, prioritized, and aligned with staff capacity, consultant capacity, member needs, funding requirements, Foundation coordination, and strategic priorities.

ASTDD maintains a disciplined and adaptive approach to accountability, reporting progress to the Board and members in accessible formats. Reports will confirm what ASTDD committed to do, what has been accomplished, what has changed, what has been learned, and where adjustments are needed.
